Friends exclaim in bewilderment when they realize that I don’t drink cow’s (or any other animal’s) milk. I like my coffee black and so I don’t feel that I am missing anything. The idea of drinking bodily fluids from another unknown animal sickens me…that’s just me….
What about your cereals you may ask. Well, I do take milk, but only from plant-based sources!
For the month of July, NTUC is having promotion on the following:
Eco-mil Almond Milk (Sugar-free)
$5.20 (U.P $6.50)
Good Karma Flax Milk
$4.75 (U.P $5.60)
Of course there’s always soy milk, but too much soy is bad too, hence it is important to drink a variety of plant-based milk derived from other sources. These include rice milk, whole grain milk, hazelnut milk…oh man there’s just so many alternatives out there and you’ll be spoilt for choice. Trust me, they taste helluva better than dairy milk! Do give it a try!
Nature’s Path Organic Cranberry Ginger is really comforting first thing in the morning! I like the hint of ginger in my cereal, coupled with unsweetened almond milk it is definitely a morning cheer!
(Nature’s Path Organic Cereals and Pacific Almond Milk are available in most NTUC Fairprice supermarkets)
I love love love Apple Juice! It’s my default drink especially on plane rides and afternoon sugar fixes, which is even more satisfying when gulped down on a warm day.
Just got back from a gathering and was so glad that one of my BFFs brought Berri Apple Juice, my favouritest, to the party! The sweetness is just right. Add some soda water if you like and you can have it sparkling as much as you want it to be!
In fact, my next favourite would be Pokka’s Fuji Apple Sparkling juice. Blogging about it now simply makes me want to go to the fridge and open a cool can! The sweetness and carbonation is calculated to perfection – aaaaaaahh! Very refreshing.
Seriously, I don’t know why I’m blogging about apple juice. But as mentioned before, I suppose good products deserve to be mentioned and consumed. So there, go have your apple juice fix now!
A must try!
I don’t get any moolah for this, but I think information about great products should be shared. I don’t have good skin, especially now that I’m not ‘young’ anymore, I’m beginning to realise the importance of taking preventive measures in minimizing the damage as I transit into my 30s. *gulps*
- Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer
I have discovered a wonderful facial moisturizer that everyone should have, especially if you frequently travel to drier regions. For my recent winter trip to China, I brought along a 2.5 fl.oz bottle with me and it was the best facial moisturizer that I’ve ever used.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer is non-sticky and absorbed into my skin very quickly. It has a milky feel to it rather than creamy. I don’t like heavy creamy moisturizers because of my combination-oily skin.
I don’t use facial moisturizers in Singapore as the tropical environment is humid enough to hydrate my skin. However, when I was in China, I only needed to slap a few squirts of the Ultra Facial Moisturizer on my face and then I could be out the whole day without my face feeling dry at all. It was maximum hydration which lasted throughout the day.
Moreover, I think the bottle design is no-nonsense and gender-neutral. Doesn’t threaten one’s masculinity at all. Go get yourself one and stock it for your daily or travel use.
